At The Original Pancake House in Denver we serve a delicious variety of breakfast and brunch favorites including pancakes of all kinds, crepes, French toast, fluffy omelets, Belgian waffles, benedicts, and other hearty egg plates. Feature dishes are the German style oven baked Dutch Baby Pancake and Apple Pancake – both customer favorites for years. Other favorites are corned beef hash and eggs, thick cut honey cured bacon and eggs, biscuits with homemade sausage gravy and fabulous, locally made green chile served on unique omelettes and benedicts. Our family breakfast restaurant also offers gluten-free pancakes and lighter items such as fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, homemade granola and old-fashioned thick rolled oats. The next time you have breakfast with us, you must treat yourself to our orange or grapefruit juices – always fresh and naturally sweet and delicious.

Our TRADITION
The Original Pancake House was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953 by Les Highet and my grand-aunt Erma Hueneke. Drawing upon their many years experience in the culinary field and their comprehensive knowledge of authentic national and ethnic pancake recipes, they were able to offer without compromise a unique and original breakfast menu.
Keeping the values of a friendly family atmosphere, superb quality food and consistently great service established by Les and Erma and carried on by grandparents (the first franchisees) in 1958 and by my father in 1970, I was gratified to bring The Original Pancake House to Denver in 1996, serving the same traditional recipes I’ve seen customers enjoy all my life. There are now more than 130 franchises worldwide.
Our recipes demand the highest quality ingredients and preparation takes time and exceptional care, but our customers the results are well worth our effort.
We put tradition into practice every day. Tradition is delicious!
