At the Original Pancake House Denver we serve a delicious variety of pancakes, crepes, fluffy omelets, benedicts and Belgian waffles. Signature dishes are the German style oven-baked Dutch Baby Pancake and the cinnamon glazed Apple Pancake. Other favorites are biscuits with home-made sausage gravy, corned beef hash, quarter-inch thick sliced bacon, and fabulous green chile. We also offer gluten-free pancakes, fresh fruit, and hand-squeezed juices.
WHAT MAKES OUR PANCAKES SO DELICIOUS
We make our batters from scratch every day. All are carefully prepared and blended by hand using only the very freshest and finest quality ingredients available. We grow old-fashioned sourdough yeast in our kitchen from a culture of potatoes, flour, and sugar, and activate it with a “start of yeast.” This sourdough yeast produces light, airy, fine-textured pancakes. Their preparation takes time and special care, and the results are well worth the effort.
